Hongo's History

1961/10 Established as Hongo Seisakusho Co., Ltd. at Shimo-sasame, Toda, Saitama for the purpose of manufacturing and selling stamped metal products and machine-processed parts.
1967/6 Received first order of automotive parts to supply hood stiffeners for mass-produced 360cc mini cars to Honda Motor Co., Ltd., which marked the entry into full-scale car-parts production.
1984/5 Established K.T.H. Parts Industries, Inc., in Ohio, U.S.A., as a joint venture with 4 Honda Motor group companies for the purpose of manufacturing and selling car parts.
1990/10 Opened Tochigi Technology Development Center in Hagamachi, Haga-gun, Tochigi, for joint product design and development with Honda Motor Co., Ltd..
1991/1 Changed corporate name from Hngo Seisakusho Co., Ltd. to Hongo Co., Ltd..
1996/2 Established Kalaida Manufacturing, Inc. in Ohio, U.S.A., jointly with 2 Honda Motor group companies for the purpose of manufacturing and selling car parts.
1996/8 Established K.T.H. Shelburn Manufacturing, Inc. in Ontario, Canada, jointly with 2 Honda Motor group companies for the production of car parts.
1997/12 Established subsidiary Hongo India Private, Ltd. in New Delhi, India, jointly with a local company for the production and sale of car parts.
1998/1 Koriyama factory obtained ISO9001 certification.
1999/1 Koriyama factory obtained ISO14001 certification.
1999/7 Established wholly-owned subsidiary, Hongo America Corporation, in Ohio, U.S.A., as a holding company for Dienamic Solutions Limited Liability Company.
1999/7 Established Dienamic Solutions Limited Liability Company, in Ohio, U.S.A., as a joint venture with Fuji Technica Inc. for the production and sale of stamping dies and stamped metal products, and for providing engineering services.
2000/6 K.T.H. Leesburg Products. Llc., based in Alabama, U.S.A., was established from the partnership of Hirata Technical Co., Ltd., K.T.H. Parts Industries, Inc., and Hongo Co., Ltd.. The aim of KLP is to produce and sell car parts.
2000/6 Hongo Co., Ltd.'s stock went public on the Japan Securities Dealers Association.
2001/12 Established GH Auto Parts Industries, Inc. in Guangzhou, China, jointly with Hirata Technical Co., Ltd. for the production and sale of car parts.
